Q: I want a special part for my bike, can you make it? A: Most likely, I can prototype parts but for production I have parts made at a CNC shop. One-off gets expensive but if it might be marketable we can probably come to an agreement. Send an E-mail.
Q: Can both starters be wired positive ground? A: No, only the WPS (black). Reversing polarity of the WPS requires moving the magnets one position clockwise or counterclockwise.
Q: What modifications are required to fit the starter to an R3 or T150? A: The starter fits the R3 without modifications. The T150 needs a small amount of metal removed from the gearbox flange. See photo.
Q: How can I seal the rockerbox cover pillar bolts? A: Counter bore the cover 0.050" with a 7/16" end mill and use a 5/16"ID x 1/16" O-ring. See photo.
Q: Why use 911 type adjusters? A: Radius tip adjusters have a point contact so the contact load is extremely high. The 911 (or MB190) swivel base adjuster covers the entire top of the valve with a flat surface eliminating the galling of the valve and adjuster. Use T160 valves or shorten the valves by 0.25". Mushroom adjusters need lash caps which add expense. See photo.
